VISINE® products are not intended for use with contact lenses, and cannot be used as an alternative cleaning or soaking solution for contact lens. Please consult with your eye doctor for appropriate cleaning or soaking solutions.
Dosing & Safety
VISINE® usage instructions will vary depending on the VISINE® product you have and will be noted on the carton – it contains complete directions and important safety information. If you know which product you’re looking for, you can also check out its specific product page on our website to see Directions of Use.
VISINE® eye drops – whether opened or unopened - have an expiration date after which the product must be safely disposed of. Expired VISINE® product must not be used.
Please consult your product carton for the exact expiration date noted for your product.
Please consult with your eye doctor after any procedure as to which over-the-counter eyedrops are safe to use. Your eye doctor may also prescribe eyedrops to prevent infection and reduce inflammation.
Please consult with your doctor as to which over-the-counter eye drops/ VISINE® products are safe to use if you are pregnant.

Ingredients
The ingredients in VISINE® SEASONAL RELIEF® Allergy, VISINE® Original Red Eye drops, and VISINE® Advance with Antihistamine include a decongestant to relieve redness. VISINE® SEASONAL RELIEF® Allergy eye drops also contain a second ingredient to clear mucus from the outer surface of the eye. VISINE® Advance with Antihistamine eye drops contain both an antihistamine to effectively relieve itchy, and watery eyes and tearing caused by pollen, grass, ragweed, dust, animal dander, and mold, as well as a decongestant to relieve redness.
VISINE® products contain the active ingredient Tetrahydrozoline. Tetrahydrozoline is used to relieve redness in the eyes caused by minor eye irritations such as dust, smoke, and dryness.
